Its no holiday in America, but to the devout, there can be no Easter without Good Friday.
However, Friday, March 25th is a holiday in Hue. There are no classes, there are big celebrations in the soccer stadium, and banners are hung from the street lights.
Friday marks the anniversary of the liberation of Hue by revolutionary forces in 1975. During the next month, such celebrations will continue in cities southward from Hue, culminating in the fall of Saigon on April 30th.
