Most bridal showers offer a variety of snacks for the women who attend to enjoy. For women, it seems the snacks almost always include a plate with fruit cut up on it. Almost always, coffee, tea and punch are offered to drink. Punch is usually a fruit drink mixed with 7-UP or another kind of fizzy drink and maybe some ice cream is put on top. If a bridal shower is in the morning, the snacks might also include muffins or other breakfast bread and perhaps an egg dish. If the bridal shower is more around lunch time, the a couple of salads would be included and perhaps a tray with some meats and cheeses. If the shower is in the evening it is possible a whole meal would be served. There is often peanuts, or other snack mix. And usually a selection of sweets, like chocolate, cake or cookies.

Here is a recipe for chocolate chip cookies:
1 stick salted butter
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 c of white sugar
3/4 cup of brown sugar

Beat these ingredients
then add:
2 1/4 c. white flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
Mix until all blended
Finally add 2/1/2 cups chocolate chips and mix.
Please dougn in 1 inch circles on a cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees F. for 7 minutes or until starting to brown on top.

These are some of my favorites!!! I am not very good at making cakes myself so hopefully someone else will give you a good cake recipe.
