Love the trip and the topcase. And wait, is that a cupholder I see on your rig?

Always enjoy your posts -- especially when they've been few and far between!

Still say you missed your calling!! Great blog after a great trip, hey?

Bruce and I always stop at the J&L Cafe in Sterling Co. for breakfast on our way to S. Dakota. There's nothing there but bib overalls and green caps. Great greasy spoon. Keep motoring.

Doug: Finally catching up on many ofyour posts. Your mention of La Gloria brought back memories as my brother Lou,riding a Honda Helix and I on a Honda pacific coast did a lot of back road travel through the areas north of McAllen that you mention. That was several years back. After the Helix Lou bought a 400 Burgman and we used to connect at Three Rivers either he riding to Bastrop or myself riding to Pharr. Lou at 89, finally gave up riding about a year ago, sold his double wide in Pharr and now lives full time in upper Mich. I miss my brother, the only remaining sibling in our family of seven children. I told him I was going to make it to his 90th birthday party come what may.
