We have loved Angel Fire, New Mexico for 20 years. It was fun to introduce it to Ely and Zach.
The first engaging things to them were the prairie dogs.
Geared with a camera, water bottles, a pair of binoculars and two walkie-talkies, they went
in pursuit.
Of course, prairie dogs are elusive and quick – as you approach, they dive into their holes – but there are lots of holes and lots of prairie dogs!
Lying in wait ultimately made a few pop out, but not very close and not for very long.
Ultimately, his frustration won out. But it was a great way to pass the afternoon in the beautiful Moreno
Valley in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.
So interesting! prairie dogs. I had never seen it before. Thank you for sharing.
